Flash Enabler is a compact installer containing the Macromedia Flash
ActiveX
control. Macromedia
doesn't let you download the file manually, only the generic browser
plugins, so the only way to
get the ActiveX control is to use Internet Explorer's built-in
update mechanism. But wait - many of us aren't even thinking
of
touching this "browser" - even the two minutes required
to retrieve a plugin may result to your PC infected with pr0n toolbars
and trojans. You know I'm not joking. So grab this,
install it and your favorite .swf-capable player shouldn't complain any
more :-)

Switch'n'Run
switches the desktop to the desired resolution and bit
depth, runs a program and when the program is finished, restores the
original display settings. Useful for old games when Windows ignores
640x480 set on the compatibility tab or your graphics card tweaker
doesn't switch the mode properly so the game complains about it and
won't start.
Example for running Woodruff & the Schnibble of Azimuth:

Zak McKracken FM TOWNS German Patch lets you do just what the name
promises: Enjoy this
rare 256 color version of the game in German language. This is a first
version based on the
manually reordered and reformatted text data of a "classic" Zak
version. I did not play
through the whole game for testing, so mail me if you find a textual
glitch. While
I am quite sure that all 2000+ text segments are correctly in place,
minor glitches with
the "classic" SCUMM v2 opcodes might occur.

Windows is required to patch the game (the patch may run under WINE,
